Hello!

I haven’t forgotten about you guys. I’m in the middle of a massive renovation at my house and a crazy busy time at work. I haven’t had the opportunity to cook as much as usual. My plan is to get back to it over the next couple of weeks! Stay tuned!

Anytime food

You know those meals that you could eat at any time of the day? Maybe you’re a breakfast for dinner person, like me, and might enjoy this AMAZING omelette late in the day? We definitely loved it and it has been put on the regular meal rotation list. That’s right. It’s another great option from […]

Ch Ch Ch Chia Pudding

Let me level with you here. I will attempt healthy recipes more than most. I’m not talking about your average “yeah, that’s fresh looking” health. I’m talking those silly no sugar, no carbs, no seasoning, no fat recipes. Have you stopped reading already? I’m not going to make you make something boring and tasteless. I […]

Buddha Bowls

I try to eat healthy. Some weeks are better than others. It depends on what shift I’m working, the temperature, how well I sleep and a plethora of other factors. It may sound a little hippie-dippy, but I try to listen to what my body says it needs. Not in every respect, but to a […]

Nutella Muffins

Calling these beauties muffins might be a bit of a stretch, they’re almost cupcake-like. They’re delicious and they come from what has fast become one of my favourite baking books. Daphna Rabinovitch’s The Baker in Me. Have you ever wondered why you use certain kitchen tools (say a wooden spoon?) for certain recipes or the […]

Fall themes

It’s a rainy day today. Couple the grey skies with night shift and I pretty much don’t want to leave my bed, never mind my house. Instead of cooking, today’s post is more of a to-do list. A list of items that I’d make if I suddenly had enough time. Like this fall sangria. It […]

Corn and Basil Pasta

I get into food ruts. I get really into using certain ingredients and then it becomes my mission to find more interesting ways to eat said ingredient. Recently, as you may have noticed, I’m really into fresh corn. It’s the ultimate summer ingredient. When you combine corn AND pasta…well that’s got winner written all over […]
